Probate Bonding
Probate Bonding
We would like to simplify the Probate bonding process, making it easier for everyone involved.
CNR Insurance has been doing probate bonding for over 26 years. We have a well established bonding relationship with CNA Surety, Erie Insurance Group, several Attorneys in Maryland as well as the Anne Arundel County Register of Wills.
We have developed a system making the bonding process more efficient for everyone involved. Here’s how it works:
- On the bond form, the register of wills service representative provides the penalty amount and obtains the personal representative’s name, address, phone number & signature (each of these, very important).
- The registers service representative collects the appropriate premium check made payable to CNR Insurance from the personal representative according to the rate information provided on the attached page or the amount given by us over the phone.
- The registers service representative mails the bond form, the premium check (or money order) & a self-addressed return envelope to CNR Insurance {we provide registers office with postage paid envelopes, business cards and directions (for those who wish to visit us).
- We receive your documents in the mail, identify and open them immediately, execute the bond on the form you provided, and mail it back to the registers service representative with the Power of Attorney & any other supporting documents.
It’s that simple, and most bonds are turned around within 1 business day!
Our office is also open Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm to process any urgent or walk-in bond requests.
